Kira Kull (they/them) has a singular capacity for uncovering transformative knowledge from spiritual, psychological, and Queer lineages, expertly weaving together contemporary and historical perspectives that nourish the unique heartbeat of each project. As a Mythological Specialist, Kira offers both esoteric and exoteric interpretations of the stories that shape cultural beliefs and practices. As an artist and educator, they seek to cultivate enriching experiences that facilitate a nuanced articulation of the wild ride that is being alive.

For Kira, it is life’s greatest delight to explore the themes and modalities of creative expression that shine light on pathways toward personal and collective healing. Kira comes from an integrative background of classical and experimental theater, interfaith mysticism, and restorative justice work. With a BFA in Theatre from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Kira is currently a Ph.D. candidate in their third year at Pacifica Graduate Institute where they have already earned a M.A. in Mythological Studies with Specialization in Depth Psychology. An intrepid seeker of the mysteries, Kira is drawn to themes of multiplicity, liberation, and resurrection with research focused in Queer Myths and Theory, Ancient Goddess Traditions, and Pop-Cultural Studies. They currently serve as a ritual keeper for the Pacifica Myth community and Senior Co-Editor of the Mythological Studies Journal.

Originally from the Bay Area, Kira is now based in Los Angeles after a decade in New York City. Recreationally, they are also a film photographer, singer (proud former alto and board member of esteemed choir Cantori New York) and active participant in the Sufi Ruhaniat International, Dances of Universal Peace, and Stud Country Queer Line Dance communities.

Having worked as a director, curator, actor, writer, producer, and teacher, Kira understands what it means to engage diverse audiences and clients in varied environments such as providing acting and playwriting classes to people incarcerated on Rikers Island, contributing work in alt-Queer platforms such as Wussy Mag, and teaching retreat workshops for spiritual and creative development. As a storyteller who highly values authenticity, respect for all life, and the compassionate pursuit of truth, work that centers LGBTQIA+ people and uplifts all forms of marginalized experience is a priority to them.
